ഌ Learn From Failure and Confirm With Success

Learn From Failure and Confirm With Success
by Chris Widener Most people think that failure is bad and success is good. I want to help you change your thinking about that if you fall into that category. I will give you that failure isn’t fun and success is, but I think the following is true: Both failure and success are good… if you know what their specific purpose is. Of course we know that success is good, but why? Success is good because it confirms things for us.
Success confirms our plans. Success confirms our decisions. Success confirms our resources. Success confirms our strategies. Success confirms our hunches. Success confirms our teamwork. Success confirms our risks. Success confirms a lot of things!
So when you are successful, ask yourself the following question: What does this success confirm in my mind? Now, what about failure? What is the role of failure and how in the world can it be GOOD?
Failure’s role is to teach us. We learn from failure. Failure teaches us that we need to change our plans. Failure teaches us that we need to change our decisions. Failure teaches us that we need to change our resources. Failure teaches us that we need to change our strategies. Failure teaches us that we need to change our hunches. Failure teaches us that we need to change our teamwork. Failure teaches us that we need to change our risks. Failure teaches us that we need to change a lot of things!
But at least now we know one more thing that won’t work! With every failure, we learn one more way we can abandon and focus in on what may be the correct way in the future! When we look at it that way, we set ourselves up for a powerfully successful future! So when you fail, ask yourself this question: What does this failure teach me? Remember, Success and Failure are both good. They can both be your friend… If you know what role they are to play in your life.

ଯ "WHY ME?"

Million thanks to Edmund Choong for sending this awesome email on the letter written by the late Arthur Ashe to his fan and would like to share with all. Arthur Ashe the legendary Wimbledon tennis player, was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983. From the world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed: "Why does GOD have to select you for this bad disease?" To this Arthur Ashe replied: "The world over 50 million children start playing tennis, 5 million learn to play tennis, 500,000 play professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to the semi-finals, 2 to the finals. When I was holding the trophy cup I never asked GOD, 'Why me?'" "So, today in pain, I should not be asking GOD, 'Why me'?" Happiness keeps you Sweet, Trials keeps you Strong, Sorrow keeps you Human, Failure keeps you Humble and Success keeps you Glowing, but only Faith & Attitude keep you going.....

ଯ Team HOYT - An Inspirational story of a father and son with their strong fighting spirit

At Rick's birth in 1962 the umbilical cord coiled around his neck and cut off oxygen to his brain. Dick and his wife, Judy, were told that there would be no hope for their child's development. The couple brought their son home determined to raise him as "normally" as possible. In 1977 when Rick was 16 he learned of a 5 mile road race that would benefit a college student who was injured in a car accident. Using his communicator, Rick told his dad that he wanted to "run" in the race as his contribution. After the race Dick could hardly move for 2 weeks. He was in agony. But one night while soaking his aching muscles Rick came home and typed a message that changed Dick's life forever. "Dad, when I'm running, it feels like I'm not handicapped anymore." Finally Rick had found something that gave him freedom like nothing else. At that point , Dick knew what he had to do...and the rest is history. In case for those who are not aware what is Triathlon aka Ironman. It is a 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles on a bike, 26.2 miles running and on top of that the bicycle weighed 60pounds, Rick weighed 90pounds and Dick weighed 170 pounds making a total 320pounds. Dick kept insisting that it is his son who is the athlete. "I don't know what it is, but when I get behind his chair, there's something that happens. Rick is the driving force of the team. I loan him my body, but it's Rick's spirit that keeps us going."
Dick's motto: "There is nothing we cannot do together" Quote from Rick Hoyt: "For as long as I can remember, people said I would never be able to do anything. My parents and I believed I could, and we've been proving them wrong ever since."
